ANTITHETIC FAULT GEOLOGY DEFINITION




Antithetic fault: 1. A secondary fault having throw in the opposite direction to the primary synthetic fault with which it is associated. 2. A fault associated with rotation so that the net slip is greater than it would have been without the rotation.
