PROGRAM FOR CALCULATING THE STATIC PRESSURES OF FUND NATURAL GAS WELLS

Today in my class our professor II Natural Gas (Federico Diaz) showed us a small program written by him to calculate the Z factor and other properties of a gas from its molar composition that later I will post on the blog.

Before this program, we also showed in a previous class to compute a background static pressure natural gas wells.

His simple but ingenious contraption is based on algorithms that calculate the BHP (Bottom Hole Pressure) using the equations of Sukkar and Cornell, Cullender and Smith and Simpson’s rule. For this data should be inserted as well depth, gas gravity, reservoir temperature, critical pressure and temperature among others.
