PROGRAM FOR CALCULATING THE FACTOR OF A GAS COMPRESSIBILITY Z

Factor Z de un gas
This is another smart little program developed by my teacher of Gas II, Mr. Federico Diaz. In a previous post I had published the first of its programs that allowed us to calculate the bottomhole pressure in the well – Bottom Hole Pressure.

The program will ask you to enter the molar composition of the gas, which should not exceed 100% molar obviously, and then using the «Run» get values for a hypothetical gas of that composition molar.

The values you get will be:

1. Calorific
2. Molecular weight
3. Gravity
4. Critical temperature
5. Critical pressure
6. Viscosity at 1 atm
7. Viscosity at reservoir temperature and pressure (which can tabular)

Moreover, the important thing is that we will dispense with our tables Factor Z (if you have a computer at our side: P)

And finally we get the graph of the Z factor for the gas of those conditions.

I forgot: The Keyword is «FRED»and it is better to run the program in Windows XP than in Vista since the former have reported some bugs in the OS.
