GRAVEL PACKING
/?php mh_magazine_lite_featured_image(); ?>
The gravel has K> 20 Darcys therefore the pressure drop across the gravel pack of training and between the casing and the filter is negligible compared to the fall and the tunnel (cement-casing). In that case is to minimize the pressure drop due to turbulence. The idea is to minimize the velocity of the fluid to avoid carryover of fines that would clog the tunnel as in the case of gravel packing in horizontal wells. We recommend a change in pressure below 200 psi.
