In particular the inverse problem of parameter estimation has been adressed and various methods based on log-log, semilog, cartesian and linear flow plots have been described. Also the concepts of early time region, middle time region and late time region have been introduced. The testing of gas wells is based on the same principles and many of the concepts introduced in connection with oil wells are directly applicable to gas well testing. Rate dependent or Non-Darcy skin coffiecient, D
Reservoir pressure, p
Parameters associated with reservoir structure e.g. the location of faults
Reservoir or block pore volume i.e. gas reserves
