CONNATE WATER

Let’s see, reading the question Lolys on the blog page on Facebook connate water, I thought I should write a definition in any way to clear doubts about the term.

Connate water is nothing more than water that was trapped in the interstices, the spaces has come to be hollow spaces between the grains of the rock, pores, etc-of sediments during deposition of a watershed. However we should not be confused with the formation water or pore water.

Strictly speaking, training or interstitial water is composed of connate water and more water that migrated to the formation after the sediments were deposited and, though often the term often used almost connate water with formation water as equivalent.

The name of connate water is also known as (and their synonyms, so to speak) innate water, water juvenile synergistic water, connate water, fossil water, etc.
