WORKOVER EQUIPMENT




This is a post about the equipment used in Workover photo sent to us from Mr. M. Ecuador Jaime Flores Sc over teams currently working in the field Sacha joint venture company operated by the Rio Napo CEM.

Workover operations are different from pulling operations because the former have to alter the conditions of the reservoir to help improve the IP, to that end Workover operations are designed to open and / or closed arenas, perhaps increasing well diameter or depth, repair harmful areas as those areas that produce water and also includes fishing operations as opposed to pulling operations where the goal is to provide maintenance lifting equipment such as a cleaning paraffins to mechanical pumping equipment.

The difference is that conventional ones have greater capacity and can work deep well workover. Trucking teams have a set of winch – CI engines mounted on a trailer. Trucking equipment are easier to move to another location.

Workover Equipment Parts

Its components are very similar to parts of a drilling team:

1. Lifting system.
2. Circulation system.
3. Rotation system.
4. Power source.
5. Well control system.

1. Lift System

Torre structure or substructure, traveling block, crown block, hook, cable, winch and accessories, lifts, wedges, key efforts, instrument control console, auxiliary winches, ramps, etc.

2. Circulation System


Tanks, fluid movement, main and auxiliary pumps, tube Vertical (stand pipe) hose, movement, or return flow line (Flow Line), Solids Control Equipment, mass settlement, degassing and gas separators.

3. Rotation System

Rotary table and accessories, pipe work (drill pipe), drill collar, heavy line (Hevi-wate), drill, kelly and accessories, swivel (swivel).


4. Power System

Prime movers, generators, power transmission.

Prime movers
Generally are internal combustion, the fuel being used Gas Oil. These motors can be coupled directly with the computer or charge coupled to generators to supply electrical power.

Generators
Change the mechanical power developed by the prime movers in electric current and are generally AC.

Power Transmission
The power generated by the prime movers to be transmitted to the teams to provide movement. If the equipment is mechanical, this power is transmitted directly from the prime mover to the team. If the equipment is electrical, mechanical engine power is converted into electric power generators, then this electric power is transmitted to the electric motors attached to the equipment, making his move.

5. Well Control System

Preventors Valves (BOP’s), cancel or spherical, rams or pipe rams, blind rams or rams (Blind Rams), or Rams Rams Shear (Shear Rams), Unit pressure accumulator, choke manifold (kill manifold) manual or remote choke (super-choke), Line of killing (kill line) Line choke (choke line), relief valve (HCR), auxiliary valves (kelly cock, internal BOP).
